How to Make Mix Match Bridesmaid Dresses Work

Personally, I LOVE the idea of mixing it up with bridesmaids dresses if done right. Having your bridesmaids pick what style works best for them can make them feel more confident and comfortable. When people are wearing what works for their body, it makes everyone look better. Whether it’s the style, the color, or both, changing it up has the potential to look stunning in photos and when standing at the altar on your special day.

Some tips:

  1. Stick to the same color theme: Make sure if you are mixing colors, that they come from the same color palette. For example, mixing different shades of nude and pink.

  1. Use the same fabric: If you are going for the same color but different style, make sure that the dresses are made from the same designer and are the same fabric. It might be the same blue but colors show up differently depending on what the dress is made out of. Like the picture featured below, there are dresses where you can customize them yourself, which is a fabulous option for this idea.

  1. Doing both? Simple is your answer: If you want different colors and different styles of dresses, make sure you keep it simple in one of those respects. Keep the colors muted if it is a style that stands out and if the color is brighter, pick an uncomplicated style.
